Frank Fabiano, CPA, CA, CIRP, Licensed Insolvency Trustee
Frank is a well-known expert in the field of insolvency who has been helping people resolve personal and business financial issues since 2006.
Frank started working with Ernst & Young in 1991, obtained his chartered accountant designation in 1994 and worked his way up to Manager. In late 1997, he left to work as a Financial Controller for Buchanan Northern Hardwoods Inc. In late 2003, he was promoted to Corporate Financial Controller at Buchanan Forest Products Ltd. In March 2006, he left the Buchanan Group and joined Grant Thornton Limited as a Senior Manager.
Currently, Frank is a partner in Grant Thornton's Recovery and Reorganization group and he is a chartered accountant, a chartered insolvency and restructuring professional and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee. He obtained his Trustee's license in 2010 and for more than 8 years has practiced exclusively in insolvency matters.
As well, Frank is the Central Region National Practice Leader in Grant Thornton's Personal Bankruptcy business unit and brings an immense amount of corporate and personal experience in insolvency work to his leadership role. He has worked with lenders and debtors, and advised various companies in financial difficulty. He has helped resolve personal and corporate insolvency matters in a variety of industries; including retail, hotels, forestry, construction, restaurants and professional services.
Frank has given numerous presentations and lectures on insolvency related matters to professional groups, financial institutions and business associations. Frank takes a great deal of satisfaction from the work that he and his team do on behalf of Northwestern Ontarians, helping them regain control of their finances and giving them the tools they need to build a better, more financially secure future.
